3M galvanising tape 470 is a vinyl tape with a rubber adhesive layer. It is resistant to common chemicals used in electroplating processes. With a flexible, abrasion-resistant backing, it is ideal for use in various processes.

Robust reliability - We have designed our 3M galvanisation tape 470 to withstand intense and difficult conditions associated with galvanisation and anodisation processes. It is built on a flexible vinyl backing that adapts to irregular or curved surfaces. This tape holds up at temperatures of up to 121 C. When finished, you can remove it from most surfaces. Printable using a thermal transfer process, making adjustment relatively easy when needed. Recommended applications - masking during electroplating operations, including both flat strip and overlapping masks, masking during anodising operations, packaging, patching, coated racks and masking of irregular surfaces, labelling, milling and etching.
